KAB SCANNING RESOURCES TO EXHIBIT AT
AIIM 2003 EXPO - BOOTH #1857 |
|
New Market Player to Present
"Must See" Production Scanning and Color Scanning Solutions at
New Unmatched Levels of Efficiency and Productivity
|

MARIETTA, GA -
KAB Scanning Resources, a newly formed
scanning system integrator formed by long-term and acknowledged industry leaders, will be exhibiting at the upcoming AIIM 2003 Exposition & Conference in New York City, April 7-9, 2003. Using the renowned Kodak i840 Series color scanner and the Agfa ADMIS S61 Series bitonal scanner combined with J&K Imaging’s DpuScan 4.0 Color Gold software, KAB has put together the premiere
production scanning application in the marketplace, for both bitonal and color scanning, and for any business environment.
KAB’s scanning solutions utilize the DpuScan document capture software because it provides
"on the fly" functionality such as BarCode/Patchcode Recognition, OCR, Image Cleanup, Bate Stamps, Digital Color Filtering, and Color Deskew in addition to its multitude of other features. And using a model that prices the software according to the scanner speed needed by the end user, DpuScan offers important efficiency functions for a fraction of the cost of similar, competitive solutions.
"Everyone has some kind of a scanning software, and it is very difficult for us to fathom how poorly some end users have planned and set-up their scanning
application," says Kurt A. Boehni, President of KAB Scanning Resources.
"Either they buy a cheap software solution that is extremely limited in terms of functionality, or they pay a fortune for a software and its setup that is not as practical, is not as user friendly, and provides the same, and in a lot of cases, less functionality than what they can get using our solution based on DpuScan."
Another unique function available today with DpuScan is its multistream capability, where color and a bitonal images are generated at the same time with any color scanner. End users are independent from any TWAIN/ISIS driver multistream support or expensive technology provided by the scanner manufacturers. For more information on DpuScan and its full capabilities, visit
www.jkimaging.com or
www.dpuscan.com.
In addition to the DpuScan capture software, KAB will be presenting the fastest high-volume scanner on the market today, the Agfa ADMIS Series S61 scanner, which is capable of scanning up to 480 bitonal images per minute, as well as the fastest color scanner, the Kodak i840 Series (320 ipm). Produced by the German company Microform GmbH, the Agfa ADMIS Series scanners, including the S61 model, are renowned for not only their incredible performance/price ratio, but for their heavy duty construction, which is built for
"24-7" production with minimal downtime. They also feature a unique,
"belt free" paper transport technology to maximize speed and flexibility, an ergonomically designed motorized variable height
adjustment table for comfortable operation, and the choice of various feeder options to suit personal scanning requirements (manual feeding table, batch feeder or semi automatic document feeder). This performance is available for an affordable price of less than $89,000. More information is available on the entire array of Microform products at
www.microform.de, including the entire Agfa ADMIS Series scanner family.
"We are going to show the marketplace what production scanning is really all
about," notes KAB Scanning Resources Vice President of Marketing, J.W. Cannon.
"Utilizing the great technology of Microform/Agfa, J&K, Kodak and our years of expertise in integrating advanced scanning systems, we feel that we have built the fastest, most efficient and affordable high-speed scanning systems in the market today, especially since our competition may ask for about three times the price for the same productivity that we can
provide."
KAB Scanning Resources is a full document scanning system integrator, is the U.S. Systems Partner for J&K Imaging, the Official U.S. Reseller of Microform’s high-end Agfa ADMIS Series scanners, has the status as a Gold Level KAIR for Eastman Kodak imaging products, and is an official reseller for other scanning industry leaders such as Bell+Howell, Canon, Fujitsu, Ricoh and Panasonic. KAB also offers personalized consulting, training and support services and places a very strong focus on providing affordable, easy-to-use, yet advanced paper scanning solutions for small businesses as well as large, very sophisticated scanning systems for larger enterprises and scanning service bureaus.
